Agota Kristof
Biography
Kristof was born in Csikvánd, Hungary in 1936 but moved to Neuchâtel, Switzerland with her husband, a history teacher, their four month old son in 1956 following the Hungarian Uprising. She is best known for her trilogy on the horrors of war and its effects on people, particularly children. She died in 2011.
