Biography

Jesús Moncada was born in Mequinenza, Zaragoza in 1941. He studied in Zaragoza and then taught at the School of Magisterium, He arrived in Barcelona in the mid 1960s and initially took up painting. He then worked for the publisher Editorial Montaner i Simón till it closed down in 1981. He started writing and won prizes for his stories. He went on to write three novels and several collections of stories. He died in 2005.
