Hakan Günday
Biography
Hakan Günday was born in Rhodes in 1976. His father was a diplomat in Brussels so his initial studies were in that town. His secondary studies were in the Department of French Translation and Interpretation at Hacettepe University in Ankara and then in the Department of Political Science at the Université libre de Bruxelles. He was very much influenced by Louis-Ferdinand Céline, which gave him a somewhat acerbic view of life, as can be seen in his novels, two of which have been translated into English.
