Upamanyu Chatterjee
Biography
Upamanyu Chatterjee was born in 1959 in Patna. He took an M. A. at Delhi University and then went to work for the Indian Administrative Service, where he became Director of the Department of Education. His first novel – English, August – was made into a film.
