Edward Whittemore: Jericho Mosaic
This is the final book on the tetralogy and poor old Whittemore has really run out of steam by the time he gets here. Gone is the international conspiracy, the playing around with history and the other fun elements. What we have now is a rather feeble spy story, mainly about how Mossad infiltrated the top levels of Syria, with little bits on how Hafez el-Assad took power in Syria. There are a few side plots which seem both irrelevant and boring. Jeez, Teddy, why didn’t you stop at Sinai Tapestry?
