Zee Edgell
Biography
Zee Edgell was born Zelma Inez Tucker in Belize City in 1940. She studied journalism in England and then continued her studies at the University of the West Indies. She worked as a journalist in Jamaica and Belize as well as teaching in Belize and working for various development organizations in Africa and Asia (her husband has been professionally involved in international development). She has also held senior positions in the Belize government on women’s issues. More recently she has been an associate professor at Kent State University, in the United States.
