Biography

Nadifa Mohamed was born in 1981 in Hargeisa. Her father was a sailor in the merchant navy and her mother a landlady. The family moved to London when she was five. She studied history and politics at Oxford University. She has been nominated as one of Granta’s Best Young British Novelists.
