D.O. Fagunwa
Biography
D.O. Fagunwa (full name: Daniel Olorunfemi Fagunwa) was born in Oke-Igbo, Nigeria, in 1903. After school, he taught in various institutions in Nigeria. He was awarded the MBE in 1959 and died in 1963. His writings are often based on Yoruba folktales and much of them concern the relationship between Christianity and traditional Yoruba beliefs, using Yoruba fantasy and supernatural as their background.
