Biography
Ibrahim Fawal was born in1933 in Ramallah. He moved to the United States. He took a B.A. from Birmingham-Southern College and an M.A. in film from UCLA. He worked as an assistant to director David Lean during the filming of Lawrence of Arabia, When he was sixty-three he worked on a Ph. D. thesis at Oxford University on the Egyptian film-maker Youssef Chahine. As well as his biography of Chahine, he wrote two novels (in English).
