Biography
Shaw Dallal (aka Shawkat Dallal) was born in1931 in Tulkarm. He was one of eight children. His father was one of the leaders of the Palestinian revolution in 1936. He went to St. John’s School in Jerusalem. He was active in warning of the dangers of Zionism. He kleft for Kuwait in 19149 and then returned to Tulkarm before going to the United States. He studied law at Cornell, where he obtained a doctorate. He worked as a lawyer. He was appointed legal advisor to the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) in Kuwait. On returning to the United States, he became president of the New Hartford Public Library. He also taught at various universities. He wrote numerous articles on human rights and Palestinian issues. He also wrote two novels (in English). He died in 2016.
