Grupo de Boedo
The Grupo de Boedo was an informal grouping of Argentinian artists in the 1920s, associated with the publisher Claridad, located in Boedo Street, Buenos Aires. They espoused avant-garde writing but, unlike the contemporary Grupo de Florida, they were left-wing and supported workers’ movements. However, later they became closer to the Grupo de Florida and the two groups essentially merged. Membership of the group included artists, musicians and and writers. Writers associated with the group include Álvaro Yunque, Nicolás Olivari, Leónidas Barletta, Elías Castelnuovo, César Tiempo y Roberto Mariani. Roberto Arlt was occasionally associated with the group.
