Ghassan Zaqtan
Biography
Ghassan Zaqtan was born in Beit Jala, near Bethlehem in 1954. His father was a poet. After graduating from teachers’ training college, he taught physical education. He was appointed director general of Literature and Publishing Department at the Palestinian Ministry of Culture. He has been an editor for Al-Shoua’ra poetry magazine and writes a column in the Al-Ayyam newspaper.
