Sardinian Literary Spring
Sardinian Literary Spring, also known as the Sardinian Literary Nouvelle Vague and New Sardinian literature (Nuova letteratura sarda and Nouvelle vague letteraria sarda in Italian), is used for works produced by Sardinian writers from the 1980s. While it is mainly prose fiction, it also includes cinema, drama and other genres. It makes much use of Sardinian history, anthropology and other aspects of Sardinian culture, as well as using Sardinian dialect in the texts. Its main exponents are Giulio Angioni, Sergio Atzeni and Salvatore Mannuzzu, though other writers are associated with it, such as Marcello Fois, Giorgio Todde and Flavio Soriga.
