Han Kang

Biography

Han Kang was born in Kwangju in 1970. She studied Korean literature at Yonsei University. Her writing carer started with a poem. She then won a short story competition. She has since written several novels. She teaches creative writing at the Seoul Institute of the Arts. She won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2024.
